Anti Ragging Cell
Ragging is a criminal offense. The institute has long taken cognisance of this and has been very strict in implementing a policy of zero tolerance towards ragging. It has an Anti-Ragging Cell that has been constituted with the express purpose of keeping the menace under check. Under a three member committee, all students are given information about the recourse they can take in case of ragging during the induction held at the beginning of the year. A complaint box is available on campus, and anonymous complaints can be dropped in it should the need arise. Banners are placed in corridors spreading the anti-ragging message. In addition, fresh students are also made aware of their rights through the mentor-mentee scheme. Action taken is swift and effective. The effectivity of the cell can be gauged from the fact that since 2009, there has not been a single case of ragging in the college.
